Y-CAP Program Coordinator

Foster Progress is seeking a Program Coordinator to support students with foster care experience through program operations, student support, communications, and events.

This primarily a remote position and requires one in-office day per week in Chicago. Applicants must live in Illinois; candidates near Chicago are preferred. Some evening and weekend events are required, and individuals with lived experience in foster care are encouraged to apply.

Become a Peer Advocate!

Are you a college student with foster care experience looking to make a difference? Become a Y-CAP Peer Advocate and use your lived experience to support fellow students as they navigate college, campus life, and available resources.

Peer Advocates earn $15/hour, build leadership skills through training, and connect with a community of students through mentorship, social events, and service projects.

To qualify, you must be enrolled in a Y-CAP school, have completed at least one year of college, and have experience in foster care.
