Board members serve a two-year term, providing strategic guidance, supporting fundraising efforts, sharing expertise, and helping strengthen our programs and mission.

Become a Mentor!

Make a lasting impact by supporting a college student with foster care experience through mentorship, encouragement, and connection. Foster Progress mentors provide guidance, share experiences, and help students navigate their higher education journey.

Become a Peer Advocate!

Are you a college student with foster care experience looking to make a difference? Become a Y-CAP Peer Advocate and use your lived experience to support fellow students as they navigate college, campus life, and available resources.

Peer Advocates earn $15/hour, build leadership skills through training, and connect with a community of students through mentorship, social events, and service projects.

To qualify, you must be enrolled in a Y-CAP school, have completed at least one year of college, and have experience in foster care.
